Operation Encompass

Our school has been given the opportunity to take part in a new project that will run jointly between all schools, academies and colleges in York and North Yorkshire. This new project, Operation Encompass, has been designed to provide early reporting to schools of any domestic abuse incidents that occur outside of normal school hours and that might have had an impact on a child attending our premises the following day. This information will be shared at the earliest opportunity between Monday to Friday and, when an incident occurs on a Friday, Saturday or a Sunday, the police will contact us the following Monday.

Do your Children use Woodthorpe Green Play Area?

If you do we are trying to make it better and if not, would you use it more if it was refurbished with some lovely new equipment?

We would like your help to make the play area even better for our children by filling our this short survey to tell the council how we as parents would like the money spent - https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/Q6KTN2H

The council has allocated £17,000 to improve the play facilities in the Woodthorpe Green play area. It is hoped to top up this fund with money from the ward budget and through grant applications. It is planned that the existing play equipment will be retained and refurbished / re-painted where necessary.

The purpose of this survey is to ask you what new equipment you would like to see installed in the playground for your children using the money that is available. There are several mum’s from Woodthorpe school on the focus group helping the council and we really value your opinions.

Please can you fill out the quick survey on this link so we can feed the results back to the council asap. Thank you Woodthorpe Community Group.
