Ducklings class have enjoyed learning about the Hindu festival Holi. We learnt that it is all about colour, which we love! To celebrate Holi, we have enjoyed lots of colour related activities including sorting coloured resources, making multi-coloured jellyfish sun catchers, threading coloured pasta, making 3D pictures using shaving foam and paint, painting spaghetti, coloured weaving, colouring mixing gloop and lots of other fun colour related activities. Together, we read and learnt the story Brown Bear Brown Bear, What Do You See? and explored the colours in this story. Our favourite activity of the week was throwing powder paint, as is often done in Holi celebrations. We threw powder paint onto paper outside to make a pretty picture.
“That was AWESOME!” Oakley explained after throwing the powder paint.
